September 9, 2017 @ 10:45 am – 12:30 pm

A rare treat for members of the Irish Garden Plant Society. A tour of the gardens of the home of the President of the Republic of Ireland. The extensive, mature gardens at Áras an Uachtaráinhost an extensive dahlia collection and September is the perfect time to see them at their best. The Dahlia bed was designed by the well-known Irish nurseryman, Christopher White, and includes many Irish cultivars such as D. John Markham and D.Aggie White. But it’s not just about dahlias: we will visit other parts of the 130 acre garden including the Victorian formal gardens, and the award winning vegetables garden.
