Congratulations
Irish Garden Plant Society and Alpine Garden Society members, Barbara Kelso and Áine-Máire Ni Mhurchú with thier prize awards won at the Alpine Garden Society Ulster 85th Anniversary Show, held in Greenmount Agricultural College on Saturday 6th April.
Barbara won the Diamond Jubilee Award for the Best pan of Ericaceae in the Novice Section, which was for a lovely heather, Erica x darleyensis 'Kramer's Rote'. Áine-Máire won the Malcolmson Cup for the Most first prize points in the Novice Section and also the C H Hammer Trophy for the Best plant in the Novice Section in flower, which was for the beautiful Tulipa cretica 'Hilde', a cultivar of the Cretan Tulip.
There was a terrific display of beautiful plants at the show and everyone had a very enjoyable time.

Lovely photos. Enjoyed my day at the show, first time to be at an alpine show. Congratulations to the both of you at winning so many prizes. Was Barbara’s first time to enter plants 🪴 at the show. 👏❤️
