Our particular interest is in Irish heritage plants. While we have a general interest in all plants and gardens we have a special love of Irish plants and wish to promote them, propagate them and spread them among keen gardeners.

The society was founded in 1981. It is a voluntary, amateur society with charity status which is organised into three regions: North,  Leinster and Munster – Belfast, Dublin and Cork for practical purposes and each region organises a programme of summer garden visits and of winter lectures.

Visit our website:irishgardenplantsociety.com for information on membership, events etc.  or come to our Facebook page:facebook.com/IrishGardenPlantSociety for regular posts on plants, gardens, notices etc.

Blogs are posted by members of the society and are the opinions of the members and not necessarily those of the society. Each blog is signed by the author.
